Drug Formulation

Weilingxian (soaked in wine, root tip removed) 3 fen, Xianlingpi (coarsely chopped, stir-fried with mutton fat) 3 fen, Fangfeng (branches removed) 3 fen,Ginseng 3 fen, Poria (black skin removed) 3 fen, Notopterygium (root tip removed) 3 fen, Angelica pubescens (root tip removed) 3 fen, Aconite (roasted until cracked, skin and navel removed) 1 liang and a half, Bupleurum (stems removed) 1 liang and a half, Gentiana (soaked in children’s urine overnight, washed, and dried) 3 fen,Areca nut 3 fen, Wood Fragrance 3 fen, Softshell Turtle Carapace (soaked in a child’s urine overnight, roasted until yellow, and with the frills removed) 1 liang, Astragalus 1 liang, Trifoliate Orange Peel (pulp removed, stir-fried with wheat bran) 3 fen,Licorice (roasted) 3 fen, Agarwood 3 fen, Cinnamon (coarse bark removed) 3 fen, Ligusticum 3 fen, Cistanche (soaked in wine, sliced, and dried) 1 liang, Morinda (soaked in wine overnight, core removed) 1 liang,Achyranthes root (soaked in wine overnight, sliced, and dried) 3 fen, Pinellia (soaked in ginger juice overnight, dried) 3 fen, Angelica root (soaked in wine overnight, stir-fried on a tile) 3 fen, and Lindera root (raw, soaked in rice water overnight, chopped, and dried) 3 fen.

Instructions for Use

Take 5 qian per dose; add 1.5 zhan of water, 5 slices of fresh ginger, and half a sheep’s kidney; decoct until the liquid is reduced by half; add half a he of wine; decoct for another 2–3 boils; strain; adjust to taste; take one dose on an empty stomach and another before noon.
