Drug Formulation

Wu Zhu Yu (washed three times in boiling water) half liang, Aconite (roasted until cracked, peel and pith removed) half liang, Dried Ginger half liang,Cardamom (wrapped in flour and steamed) half liang, Poria cocos half liang, Black Dragon Bone (charred over charcoal for 3 jin until thoroughly red; left overnight; ground into a fine powder; washed with water) half liang, Eucommia ulmoides (chopped, soaked in wine, stir-fried until fibers break) 1 liang, Schisandra chinensis 1 liang, Cistanche deserticola (soaked in wine overnight) 1 liang,deer antler (skin and hair removed, split open, coated with butter and roasted) 1 liang, red cinnabar (of the kind that sticks to the tongue) 1 liang, and prepared dried rehmannia root 1.5 liang.

Processing

Grind the ingredients into a fine powder, mix with boiled wheat flour paste, and form into pills the size of a Paulownia seed.

Instructions for Use

Take 50–70 pills per dose, on an empty stomach or before meals, washed down with warm rice water. After 1–2 months, when blood and qi have stabilized, remove the dragon bone and add half liang of agarwood; the formula may then be taken regularly.
