Instructions for Use

Starve the duck until it is completely famished. Grind 4 liang each of Rehmannia glutinosa (both types), Asparagus root (both types), Artemisia annua, softshell turtle shell, Cinnamomum cassia bark, and Ligustrum lucidum into a fine powder. For each serving, use 1 sheng of glutinous rice and 1 liang of the herbal mixture; boil them together, then consume the duck along with the broth until it is extremely plump. Slaughter the duck, collect the blood, and mix it with aged wine to drink.Pluck the duck, clean out the internal organs, and cook it as usual with sweet white wine and salt until tender. It is even more effective to eat it on an empty stomach; after eating, repeat the procedure as described above. If preparing pills, grind the same mixture of herbs into a fine powder, stuff it into the duck’s abdomen, tie it securely with hemp thread, and boil it in clear, pure human urine until tender. Remove the bones, pound the mixture into pills, and take them.

Note
