60–120 g of pumpkin seed pulp, 30–60 g of areca nut.

Instructions for Use

First, chew the pumpkin seed pulp into small pieces and swallow it; 1–2 hours later, drink the concentrated decoction made from areca nuts. The tapeworm will be expelled during diarrhea 4–5 hours later. If no diarrhea occurs after taking the medicine, dissolve 9g of bismuth subnitrate in water and drink it. If the head segment has not been expelled, repeat the treatment after half a month.

Note

If part of the worm is protruding from the anus, do not pull it out by hand; instead, take a warm water Sitz bath to allow the worm to be expelled naturally. Since areca nuts have a descending and qi-dispersing effect and are used in relatively high doses, pregnant women should avoid this treatment.
