Formulas Name : Worm-Resolving Decoction
Chinese Name : 化虫饮
Drug Formulation
1 liang of areca nut, 1 liang of sour pomegranate root bark (thoroughly washed and dried in an oven), 2.5 qian of cinnabar (calcined), 2.5 qian of thunderball, 2.5 qian of Polygonatum (preferably the variety the size of a chicken’s head), 2.5 qian of Schisandra fruit pulp (thinly sliced and dried in an oven), licorice (roasted),1 liang of Trifoliate Orange Peel (remove pith, chop into pieces; place 15 Croton seeds on either side—remove shells, membranes, and cores—and stir-fry together until the Trifoliate Orange Peel turns slightly yellow, then remove the Croton seed pieces), and 5 qian of Rhubarb.

Instructions for Use
Fry one egg in clear oil until it resembles a spring roll wrapper; let it cool, then sprinkle 1 qian of the powdered medicine evenly over it. Eat it rolled up on an empty stomach. For very young children, make paste from glutinous rice flour boiled in water and form it into pills the size of millet grains; take 15 to 30 pills per dose on an empty stomach, washed down with light pork broth; chicken broth is also suitable.
