Croton seeds, as needed (ground finely with the husks); Coptis; and raw wheat flour, each in equal parts.

Processing

Mix all the ingredients thoroughly, then form them into pills the size of a paulownia seed using cold water. Next, roast wheat bran and earth ash over alternating high and low heat until dry. Place a bowl of cold water nearby; once the pills are dry, test one pill by placing it in the cold water—it should float on the surface.
