Drug Formulation

Angelica sinensis (soaked in wine, roasted, and crushed) half a jin; Dodder seeds (soaked in wine, cleaned of soil, ground while moist, then roasted and weighed) 1 jin; Coix seed 4 liang; Poria cocos (wood removed) 4 liang; Euryale seed (peeled) 4 liang; Deer antler powder 4 liang; Prepared Rehmannia root 4 liang.

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Take 2 jin of Astragalus root, crush it, and soak it in 6 sheng of water overnight. The next morning, rinse it until the taste is faint, remove the dregs, and simmer the liquid in a silver or stone vessel until it becomes a thick paste. Mix thoroughly, then pound with a pestle several thousand times to form pills the size of a Paulownia seed.
