Drug Formulation

2 liang of Snake’s Bite, 2 liang of rosehip root, 2 liang of Dipsacus asper, 2 liang of Yege, 1.5 liang of Angelica sinensis, 1.5 liang of Aconite root (peeled), 1 liang of Saposhnikovia root, 1 liang of Scutellaria baicalensis, 1 liang of Spiraea sinensis, 3 liang of pine resin, and 3 liang of cypress resin.

Processing

Coarsely crush the ingredients, then simmer them in 2 jin of lard. Separately, add 1 piece of Angelica dahurica to the mixture. When the mixture turns yellow, the ointment is ready. Remove the residue, strain it, and store it in an airtight container.
