Drug Formulation

Half liang of Angelica sinensis, half liang of red peony root, half liang of cinnamon bark, half liang of white angelica root, half liang of licorice (roasted), 2 qian of wood fragrant, 3 qian of processed conch shell, 1 qian of Aconite (peeled, soaked in ginger juice overnight, then roasted).

Instructions for Use

Take 3 qian per dose, add 3 slices of fresh ginger, decoct until reduced to 7 fen, then add 3 fen-zhan of ash-free wine and 3 fen-zhan of a child’s urine; decoct again until reduced to 7 fen, and take while warm. After taking Qiwei San for 1–2 days—regardless of whether the fever has subsided—take this formula in conjunction with Yutong Ointment.
