Processing
Finely chop all the ingredients. Soak them in 6 jin of sesame oil for 3–5 days. Simmer in a pot until the mixture turns black, then strain out the residue. Add 3 jin of orpiment. Using separate branches of locust and willow, stir continuously without stopping. When the ointment is formed and still warm, add 1 liang each of frankincense, myrrh, dragon bone, mercury oxide, and dragon’s blood, along with 2 qian of musk. Stir until well blended, then store in a porcelain container.

Instructions for Use
Apply the ointment in a layer appropriate to the size of the wound. After receiving corporal punishment, if there is swelling caused by stagnant blood, first lance the wound to expel the foul blood, then apply this ointment; the condition will subside in 3–4 days. If improper care has led to the formation of an abscess, applying this ointment will cause it to dissipate immediately.
