Drug Formulation

30 liang of Guang Huoxiang (lightly roasted), 20 liang of Perilla frutescens (lightly roasted), 20 liang of Magnolia officinalis (roasted with ginger juice), 20 liang of Fructus Aurantii (roasted with flour), 30 liang of raw Rehmannia glutinosa (sliced, soaked in cold boiled water, and pounded to a pulp), 15 liang of Akebia trifoliata, 20 liang of Paeonia rubra (roasted),Scrophularia root 20 liang (lightly roasted), raw licorice root 5 liang (ground), tangerine peel 15 liang, processed Pinellia tuber 20 liang (roasted with ginger juice), red Poria 20 liang (roasted), cardamom seeds 30 liang (ground, roasted), barley malt 30 liang (roasted), hawthorn fruit 30 liang (roasted until charred), Shenqu 30 liang (roasted), Angelica pubescens 15 liang (roasted with wine),Gardenia seeds 20 liang (roasted until black), Radish seeds 30 liang (roasted), Processed Aconite 15 liang (roasted with wine).

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder, mix with refined honey to form pills, each weighing 4 qian.

Instructions for Use

For post-illness symptoms, dissolve one pill in the decoction: one pill for adults, half a pill for children. For common colds, chills, headaches, and pain in the joints and bones throughout the body, use 2 qian of roasted old ginger, decoct it, and dissolve one pill in the decoction; once warmth induces sweating, the condition will be cured. For cholera with vomiting and diarrhea, use 2 qian of roasted ginger and 3 qian of hearth soil, decoct them, and dissolve one pill in the decoction;For malaria, use 3 qian of roasted ginger and 3 jujubes, decoct in water, and dissolve 1 pill in the decoction; take this one hour before the onset of the malaria attack;For bloody dysentery, use 3 qian of honeysuckle and 3 fen of Coptis chinensis, decoct in water, and dissolve one pill in the decoction; if abdominal pain is present, add 1 qian 5 fen of Guangmuxiang and decoct as before; for non-bloody dysentery, use 3 qian of roasted ginger and 3 qian of brown sugar, decoct in water, and dissolve one pill in the decoction;For epidemic diseases, dissolve one pill in freshly drawn cool well water; for rashes, use 5 qian of raw gypsum, 8 fen of raw licorice, and 8 fen of stir-fried Cimicifuga, decoct in water, and dissolve one pill in the decoction; for pregnant women, use 1 qian 5 fen of amomum and 5 fen of stir-fried Scutellaria, decoct in water, and dissolve one pill in the decoction; for postpartum women, use 8 qian of Angelica sinensis and 1 qian 5 fen of Ligusticum chuanxiong, decoct in water, and dissolve one pill in the decoction.
