[Technique Essentials] Use the thumb and the palmar sides of the other four fingers to apply opposing force, grasp the supports area, and maintain continuous pressure or slightly lift it, allowing the grasped muscle to slide out from between the hands.

[Operational Steps] The practitioner uses the thumb(s) of one or both hands, with the palmar side of the remaining four fingers opposing them, to grasp the patient’s supports area or acupoint(s). The practitioner then applies sustained pressure or slightly lifts the area, prompting the grasped muscle tendons to slip out from between the fingers. This technique is called “sliding grasping manipulation.” When performed with one hand, it is termed “single-hand sliding grasping manipulation”; when performed with both hands, it is termed “double-hand sliding grasping manipulation.
