White Grass

White Grass, a name in traditional Chinese medicine. It refers to the rhizome of the grass species Pennisetum centrasiaticum Tzvel. (family Poaceae). It is distributed in Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning, Inner Mongolia, Hebei, Shanxi, Shaanxi, Gansu, Qinghai, Sichuan, Yunnan, and Tibet. It has the effects of clearing heat, promoting urination, cooling the blood, and stopping bleeding. It is primarily used to treat heat-induced dysuria, hematuria, cough due to lung heat, epistaxis, and thirst caused by stomach heat.

Milkweed

Milkvine, a name in traditional Chinese medicine. It refers to the whole plant of Marsdenia sinensis Hemsl., a member of the Asclepiadaceae family. It is distributed in Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Hubei, Hunan, Fujian, Guangdong, Guangxi, and Sichuan provinces and regions. It has the therapeutic effects of tonifying the kidneys and strengthening the tendons, as well as invigorating the spleen and replenishing qi. It is commonly used to treat kidney deficiency-induced low back pain, rheumatic and overwork-related injuries, spleen and stomach deficiency, and insufficient lactation.

Fenugreek

Fenugreek is a name for a traditional Chinese medicinal herb. It consists of the dried, mature seeds of Trigonella foenum-graecum L., a plant in the genus Trigonella of the Fabaceae family. It has the effects of warming the kidneys and boosting yang, as well as dispelling cold and relieving pain. It is primarily used to treat kidney yang deficiency, deficiency-cold in the lower jiao, cold pain in the lower abdomen, abdominal pain caused by cold hernia, and cold-damp beriberi.

Sugarcane Bagasse

Sugarcane Bagasse, a name in traditional Chinese medicine. It is the residue left after sugarcane (Saccharum sinensis Roxb.), a plant of the Poaceae family, has been pressed to extract its sugar juice; sugarcane is commonly cultivated throughout southern China. It has the efficacy of clearing heat and detoxifying. It is used to treat alopecia, boils, and carbuncles.
