Drug Formulation

1 liang of wild Aconite, 1 liang of Ephedra root, 1 liang of Lycium bark, and 1 liang of magnesium sulfate.

Instructions for Use

Boil 1 bucket of water with 1 he of Sichuan pepper, 30 scallions, and 1 liang of mugwort leaves until it has boiled for several dozen times. Mix thoroughly with 1 zhong of vinegar. Sit in a sealed room with the doors and windows sealed off. Drape a towel over your limbs. When the decoction is ready for bathing, bathe until you sweat profusely—sweat should emerge from your face like pearls. Sit or lie down for a short while until the sweat dries before putting on clothes. Avoid drafts for 5 days before bathing again. Repeat this 3–5 times; after each bath, take a dose of Huan Gu Dan.
