Drug Formulation
Maifan Stone (also known as coarse hemp stone; those previously used as grinding stones are especially suitable; calcine 7–8 times; when red-hot, quench in rice vinegar;calcined 3–4 times until the stone is finely crushed; place in an earthenware pot, heat until glowing red, then quench in vinegar; after 7–8 calcination cycles, it is ready for use), deer antler root (exclude the medullary bone and antler tips; use only the 3-cun base of the antler, charred over a fire), and fritillary bulb (ground into a fine powder)—all in equal parts.

Processing
Grind the ingredients into a powder. First, thoroughly wash a clean, old piece of silk cloth and let it dry. Cut the silk into a circular patch roughly the size of the sore, leaving a small opening in the center. Then, use a small pot to heat a small amount of rice vinegar—enough to cover the mixture. Add the prepared medicine to the vinegar, let it cool, and spread it evenly over the silk patch.
