Drug Formulation

1 qian of bamboo inner membrane (use fresh golden bamboo; split it open and peel off the inner membrane.Bamboo sap), 1 pill of bamboo shavings (the size of a marble; this is obtained by cutting the green peel from the bamboo used to extract the inner membrane), bamboo sap (extracted from the same golden bamboo used for the inner membrane and shavings according to standard methods), 2 qian of Ophiopogon (with the core removed), 5 fen of licorice, 5 fen of tangerine peel (with the white pith removed), 1 qian of Poria cocos, 1 qian of Platycodon, and 7 apricot kernels (with skin and tips removed, ground).

Add 7 bamboo leaves to 1.5 zhan of water; decoct until reduced to 7 fen; add 1 cup of bamboo sap; mix well and take while warm.
