Drug Formulation
1 qian of white arsenic powder, 1 qian of powdered blister beetle (wings and legs removed), 1 qian of croton seed (finely ground), 3 qian of aged mountain maca (ground into powder), 0.5 fen of sulfur (unground), and wheat flour (in an amount equal to half the total weight of the other ingredients).

Processing
Grind the first four ingredients into a fine powder, mix them together, and grind again; then mix thoroughly with the unground sulfur. Weigh the mixture, use approximately half that amount of wheat flour, mix it with water to form a uniform consistency, and roll into pills of any length or size.

Instructions for Use
Take a sheet of tin, place it over charcoal fire to dry thoroughly, and it is ready. When broken open, it will reveal many fine pores—this is due to the unground sulfur and bitter herbs. For small and shallow ulcers, use a small amount; for deep ones, use a slightly longer piece, though it need not reach the bottom of the ulcer; for large ulcers, fill the entire area completely, or apply as a powder.The external plaster should be slightly larger than the ulcer. For boils, take a small coin, press it onto the head of the boil, use a incense stick to make a small burn mark in the coin’s hole, place the medicine granules there, and apply the plaster. Do not remove it to inspect for 1–3 days; the effect becomes apparent after 6–7 days. In most cases, the necrotic tissue falls off along with the plaster; there is no need to use the old method of twisted paper or the new method of gauze packing, and the toxin is often completely eliminated in a single application.
Note
This method should only be relied upon when systemic symptoms are mild; otherwise, internal medication must be used first to regulate the body, and caustic treatments must not be applied initially.
