Drug Formulation

1 liang of Chinese yam, 1 liang of Achyranthes root (soaked in wine overnight), half a liang of Poria cocos (peeled), half a liang of Trifoliate orange fruit, half a liang of Schisandra berries, half a liang of Eucommia bark (peeled, roasted with ginger juice and wine until fragrant and cooked),half liang of Cornus officinalis, half liang of Morinda officinalis (core removed), half liang of Polygala tenuifolia (core removed), half liang of Rehmannia glutinosa (prepared), half liang of Cistanche deserticola (soaked in wine overnight, sliced, and roasted), half liang of Acorus tatarinowii (core removed), half liang of Lycium barbarum, half jin of Atractylodes lancea, and 4 liang of lotus seed.

Processing

Grind the ingredients into a fine powder, mix with refined honey to form pills, or incorporate steamed buns and date pulp to form pills, each the size of a Paulownia seed.

Instructions for Use

Take 50 pills per dose on an empty stomach or before meals, washed down with either warm wine or salted broth; take three doses daily. Increase the dose by one pill each time; after five days, the eyes will feel strong; after ten days, vision will be clear; after half a month, tendons and bones will be robust; after twenty days, the spirit will be refreshed; and after one month, one will crave food and drink at night. This medicine is non-toxic, has a mild, warming, and tonifying nature, and poses no contraindications even for those over a hundred years old.
