Drug Formulation

Half a qian of borneol, half a liang of qinpi (chopped), half a liang of coptis (stems removed), half a liang of licorice (raw, chopped), and half a liang of horse-tooth saltpeter (refined and finely ground).

Instructions for Use

Soak the herbs in 1 large bowl of water overnight. Decoct in a silver pot until reduced to 5 fen. Filter through fresh cotton, add borneol, stir until uniform, and store in a porcelain container. Apply to the eyes using copper chopsticks.
