Instructions for Use
Boil 1 dou of water with rice until cooked. Once the broth is ready, strain out the solids and take 1 sheng while still warm, three times daily.
Note
This formula may be taken only between the beginning of summer and the beginning of autumn. It must not be taken after the beginning of autumn; nor should it be administered during the first, second, or third months of the lunar year, when the weather is still bitterly cold, as doing so will cause vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal pain. It must also not be given to patients with blood deficiency or those who have suffered significant blood loss, as it will cause abdominal pain and diarrhea. Avoid seaweed and Chinese cabbage.
