Drug Formulation

1 liang of Changshan, 1 liang of softshell turtle shell (with frills removed, vinegar-roasted), 3 fen of Anemarrhena (baked), 3 fen of Pulsatilla, 3 fen of licorice (roasted, coarsely chopped), 3 fen of Bupleurum (stems removed), 1 handful of Artemisia annua, 1 handful of peach twigs, 1 handful of willow twigs, and half a liang of cinnamon bark (coarse bark removed).

Instructions for Use

Take 4 qian per dose, mixed with one and a half zhan of wine. Add 3 cun each of sliced scallion whites and garlic chives, soak overnight, then decoct until reduced to 8 fen. Strain out the residue and take warm on an empty stomach; take another dose when an attack is imminent.
