Chinese Name : 川朴消丸

Drug Formulation

2 liang of Sichuan Magnolia Bark (finely ground), 1 liang of Sichuan Mangxiao (finely ground), half a liang of Ma Ya Xiao (finely ground), 1 liang of Sichuan Aconite (raw, with skin and pith removed, pounded and sifted into a powder),1 liang of Sichuan pepper seeds (lightly roasted, pounded and sifted into a fine powder), 1 liang of sweet shepherd’s purse (roasted through paper until purple), 1 liang of belladonna seeds (rinsed in water to remove floating seeds, boiled until sprouts emerge, allowed to dry, then roasted until yellowish-black), 2 liang of apricot kernels (soaked in hot water, peeled, tips and double kernels removed, then roasted with bran until slightly yellow).

Processing

Combine the herbs—including the sweet shepherd’s purse, belladonna, and apricot kernels—and pound them 1,000 times with a pestle. Take 10 jujubes, boil them to extract the pulp, and mix the pulp with the herbs, grinding them finely until uniform. Then add refined honey and shape into pills the size of a paulownia seed.

Take 20 pills per dose on an empty stomach, washed down with a decoction of white mulberry root bark.
