Drug Formulation

Dried lacquer (pounded to a powder, stir-fried until all smoke has dissipated) 1 liang; Achyranthes root (stems removed, soaked in wine overnight, then oven-dried) 1 liang.

Processing

Grind the ingredients into a fine powder. Add 1 sheng of fresh Rehmannia root juice to a silver vessel containing the powdered mixture, then simmer over low heat. Once the mixture is ready to form into pills, shape them into pills the size of a Paulownia seed.
