Drug Formulation
1 large ball of men’s hair, 200 castor seeds (shelled), 2 jin 8 liang of pork lard (rendered),8 liang of sesame oil (first simmer the above ingredients until the hair dissolves and the castor seeds are charred; then add the following herbs), 3 liang of Clematis root, 2 liang of prepared Rehmannia root, 1 liang 5 qian of Dehuo, 2 liang of honeysuckle, 1 liang 5 qian of Angelica root, 1 liang of Angelica dahurica, 6 qian of Sichuan Aconite, 6 qian of Wild Aconite,Cinnamon Bark (peeled) 1 liang (simmer the above ingredients until they turn charred and dry; remove the dregs, filter through fine silk, then simmer over low heat while stirring constantly; add the remaining ingredients to thicken the mixture), Frankincense 1 liang (roasted on bamboo leaves to remove oil, then ground to a fine powder), Myrrh 1 liang (roasted on bamboo leaves to remove oil, then ground to a fine powder), Genuine Yellow Orpiment (roasted until dry, then sifted to a fine powder) 8 liang,pure pine resin (boiled in water three times, drained, melted, filtered through hemp cloth, and purified) 6 liang, musk 2 fen.

Processing
First, combine the colophony and real yellow丹; heat until the mixture reaches the desired consistency—when a drop of water forms a bead—then remove from heat. Add the frankincense, myrrh, and musk, mix thoroughly, and store in a porcelain container.
