Decoction of Black Plums

Formulas Name : Decoction of Black Plums
Chinese Name : 乌梅煎
Drug Formulation
7 black plums, 1 sheng of whey, 2–7 ancient copper coins, and half a liang of rock salt.

Processing
First, soak the black plums in the whey for 7 days; next, for every 1 zhong of ancient coins, add 1 zhong of rock salt. Stack the coins in layers, filling the holes completely, then place them over a fire and burn until they turn entirely red. Remove them, brush off the ash, and add them to the black plum whey. Transfer the mixture to a porcelain jar, seal the opening with oiled paper, bury it in the ground for 21 days, then dig it up and filter out the sediment using fresh cotton.

Instructions for Use
Apply a small amount to the inner corner of the eye with a copper chopstick three times a day.
