Drug Formulation

Half a liang of Diao Teng, half a liang of Sichuan Cimicifuga, half a liang of black rhinoceros horn (chopped), half a liang of Scutellaria baicalensis (with black core and peel removed), half a liang of Scrophularia, half a liang of Poria, half a liang of Saposhnikovia (with root tip removed), half a liang of Gentiana macrophylla,half liang of Areca nut, half liang of Coptis, half liang of Rhubarb, half liang of Lycium bark, half liang of Curcuma, half liang of Licorice (roasted), half liang of Calcium carbonate, half liang of Ophiopogon (with core removed), half liang of Dragon’s tooth, half liang of Amber, half liang of Indigo, half liang of Pearl (ground separately), half liang of Musk,half liang of ox bile, half liang of cinnabar (ground separately), half liang of Gentiana, 3 beetles (with heads, legs, and wings removed), 3 cicadas (with heads, legs, and wings removed; used raw), 1 liang of ginseng, 40 pieces of gold leaf, 40 pieces of silver leaf (ground together), and 1 pair of tiger eyes (soaked in wine, then dried in an oven).

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder (except those ground separately), then mix with soft rice to form pills the size of a millet seed.
