2 finger-widths of the parietal bone, 5 areca nuts, 3 qian of musk, 3 qian of asafoetida, 3 qian of Euphorbia, 3 qian of benzoin, and 1 qian of cinnabar.

Processing

Grind the ingredients into a fine powder.

Instructions for Use

Take 3 qian per dose, using 14 stems of leek white,14 stems of scallion white, two handfuls of Artemisia annua, 5 cun of licorice root, 5 cun of peach twigs, 5 cun of willow twigs, 1 piece of white mulberry bark, and 1 piece of pomegranate root bark. Place these ingredients in a porcelain vessel with 4 large bowls of a child’s urine, and simmer over alternating high and low heat until reduced to 1 bowl. Strain out the residue, divide the liquid into 3 cups, and mix in the aforementioned powdered medicine. Take the first dose at the beginning of the fifth watch. If the patient is male, the female should prepare the decoction; if the patient is female, the male should prepare it.If a sensation of nausea occurs after taking the medicine, immediately place a white plum in the mouth to alleviate it. By the end of the fifth watch, the patient should expel parasites, foul substances, yellow fluid, and black feces. If no expulsion occurs, take another dose after a sufficient interval, and take one more dose at daybreak. If diarrhea persists, mix equal parts of dragon bone and Coptis into a powder, dissolve it in plain water, and take it; follow with white plum porridge as a tonic.
