Drug Formulation
1 white flower snake (head and tail removed), 1 black snake (head removed), 1 liang of dried silkworm pupae (roasted), 1 liang of Sichuan aconite, 1 liang of white angelica, 1 liang of raw and cooked rehmannia, 1 liang of scrophularia, 1 liang of white atractylodes, 5 liang of sophora root, 1 liang of schizonepeta, 1 liang of saposhnikovia,1 liang of Acorus tatarinowii, 1 liang of Asarum, 1 liang of Gastrodia elata, 3 liang of duckweed, 3 liang of Angelica sinensis, 3 liang of Gentiana macrophylla, 3 liang of Pittosporum bark, 3 liang of Ephedra, 3 liang of Dogspine, 3 liang of Achyranthes root, 3 liang of Lepidium, 3 liang of Aconite, 3 liang of Xanthium seeds, 3 liang of Quince, 3 liang of Clematis, 3 liang of Sesame, 3 liang of White Peony,Ginseng 3 liang, Verbena 3 liang, Fructus Aurantii 3 liang, Cinnamon Bark 3 liang, Cnidium 3 liang, Fructus Aurantii 3 liang, Soapberry 3 liang, White Fresh Bark 3 liang, Schisandra 3 liang, Cistanche 3 liang, Trichosanthes Seed 3 liang, Acanthopanax Bark 3 liang, Smilax 1 liang, Cnidium Seed 1 liang,Honeysuckle 1 liang, Peppermint 3 liang, Whole Scorpions 1 liang, Centipedes 30 (heads removed), Mulberry Parasite 2 liang, Poria 2 liang, Cicada Shed Skins (heads and legs removed) 2 liang, Licorice 2 liang, Forsythia 3 liang (the above are prepared herbal slices; first, use 7 sheng of glutinous rice to brew white wine, divide it evenly among 4 jars, and set aside for later use.Additionally, take 2 dou of water, add 1 sheng of wine lees, and place this in a separate large jar. Put the two snakes and all the herbs into the jar and seal it. Simmer from morning until evening, then remove and let cool before pouring the mixture into the four jars of white wine.Separately, remove the snakes, strip off their skin and bones, dry them in an oven, and set aside for later use. Add the following herbs: 1 liang of dragon’s blood, 1 liang of frankincense, 5 qian of myrrh, 1 liang of agarwood, 1 liang of sandalwood, 1 liang of realgar, 1 liang of pangolin scales, 2 qian of musk, 2 qian of ox bile, and 2 qian of asafoetida.

Grind these together with the two snakes mentioned earlier into a fine powder, mix thoroughly, seal tightly in the four jars, and simmer for another hour.

Instructions for Use
After taking one cup, you will have 6–7 bowel movements; only then may you eat. Thereafter, replenish your strength with thin congee, once in the morning and once in the evening.
