Drug Formulation

1 liang of sodium carbonate (grind into a powder with sulfur; roast in a porcelain vessel over low heat, stirring with a willow whisk; do not use excessive heat, lest it impair the potency of the medicine; then grind to a very fine powder, known as “Two-Qi Powder”), 1 liang of Taiyin Xuanjing Stone (sifted and ground), 2 liang of Wulingzhi (cleared with water, filtered to remove sand and stones, and sun-dried),Green Tangerine Peel (white pith removed) 2 liang, Aged Tangerine Peel (white pith removed) 2 liang, Imported Sulfur (transparent) 1 liang, Agarwood 1 liang, Frankincense (firm variety) 1 liang, Tiannanxing (powder-white variety) 1 liang.

Processing

Grind the ingredients into a fine powder; mix with a paste made from sifted wheat flour to form pills the size of a paulownia seed.
