Drug Formulation

Raw Rehmannia 4 liang (mixed with wine and lightly steamed), Ophiopogon 4 liang, White Lily Bulb 8 liang (sun-dried to 4 liang), White Mulberry Bark (honey-fried) 3 liang, Tussilago Flower 2 liang, Stemona 3 liang, Polygonatum 4 liang, Peppermint 3 liang, Fritillaria 3 liang, Chinese Yam (steamed) 6 liang (the above three ingredients should be finely ground and incorporated into the ointment), Platycodon 1 liang,Loquat leaves (honey-fried) 8 liang, tangerine peel 1 liang, coix seed (roasted) 8 liang, poria 2 liang, white peony root (wine-fried) 3 liang, fried licorice 1 liang, longan flesh 4 liang, jujube 6 liang.

Processing

Decoct the above herbs into a paste, add 1 jin each of maltose and white honey, and continue decocting until thoroughly cooked. Allow to cool, then mix in powdered mint, fritillary bulb, and Chinese yam until evenly blended.

Instructions for Use

Take small amounts from time to time and let them dissolve in the mouth, or dissolve in plain hot water; it is even better to take it before bed or while sleeping; it may also be prepared as a decoction in small doses. Take it on an empty stomach along with formulas that nourish yin and restore vitality.
