5 liang of realgar, 5 liang of orpiment, 5 liang of sulfur, 5 liang of cinnabar, and 5 liang of yangqishi.

Processing

Grind the ingredients into a coarse powder and place them in a Yangcheng jar. First, mix with honey; place cinnabar at the bottom. Next, add 5 qian of Ephedra sinica powder, 5 qian of Aconitum carmichaeli powder, and 5 qian of Euphorbia pekinensis powder. Mix thoroughly with 5 qian of egg white, then spread this mixture over the cinnabar. Cover with the jar’s lid, secure with iron wire, and seal the opening with salt mud. Allow to dry in the shade. Dig a pit in the ground, burying the jar so that 5 fen is buried and 5 fen remains exposed.calcine over a fierce fire for one day and one night; remove from the cold furnace, grind into a fine powder, mix with vinegar and Pinellia tuber paste to form pills the size of a water caltrop, coat with talc to enhance luster, and store in silverware.
