Cold and dampness invading from below, resulting in heaviness of the body; coldness, heaviness, and pain from the waist down; normal appetite; no thirst; and free urination; or conditions such as uterine bi syndrome with difficult urination and clear nasal discharge; vomiting and diarrhea; edema of the lower limbs during pregnancy; urinary incontinence in the elderly; enuresis in both men and women; and chronic lower back coldness with leukorrhea in women—all of which are attributed to deficiency of spleen yang with cold and dampness.

Formulas Name : Ganjingling Shu Decoction

Chinese Name : 甘姜苓术汤

Drug Formulation

2 liang of licorice, 2 liang of white atractylodes, 4 liang of dried ginger, 4 liang of poria.

Benefits

Kidney-related conditions. Cold and dampness invading from below, resulting in heaviness of the body; coldness, heaviness, and pain from the waist down; normal appetite; no thirst; and free urination; or conditions such as uterine bi syndrome with difficult urination and clear nasal discharge; vomiting and diarrhea; edema of the lower limbs during pregnancy; urinary incontinence in the elderly; enuresis in both men and women; and chronic lower back coldness with leukorrhea in women—all of which are attributed to deficiency of spleen yang with cold and dampness.

Instructions for Use

Boil with 5 sheng of water until reduced to 3 sheng; divide into 3 doses and take while warm. The lower back will immediately feel warm.

Note

Avoid seaweed, Chinese cabbage, peaches and plums, sparrow meat, and vinegar-based foods.
