Drug Formulation

Poppy shells (caps removed and thoroughly washed), licorice, tangerine peel (pith removed), and dried ginger—all in equal parts.

Processing

Roast the dried ginger over charcoal until it turns yellow, then grind into a fine powder.

Instructions for Use

Take 3 qian per dose, mixed with a thick decoction of aged rice; the effectiveness depends entirely on the rice being concentrated and retaining its liquid; take while warm for best results.
