Drug Formulation
5 white cardamoms (each cut into 5 pieces), 25 pieces of ginger (cut to the size of a soapberry), 5 Beijing dates (each cut into 5 pieces), 25 pieces of Pinellia, and 5 cun of licorice (each cun cut into 5 pieces).

Instructions for Use
Prepare one dose of the above mixture one day before the onset of symptoms and continue until the evening of the attack. Use 2 bowls of water; decoct until reduced to 1 bowl, strain out the residue, and bring to a boil twice more. Divide into 3 doses. At night, leave the mixture exposed in the central courtyard; by the fourth drumbeat, when it has warmed through, take one dose while it is still hot; take another dose at dawn; then, at daybreak, eat some congee; if you still feel slightly hungry, take one more dose, and then go to sleep.
