Formulas Name : Ink-Scented Pills

Chinese Name : 墨香丸

Drug Formulation

1 jin of Cyperus rhizome (soak in wine, vinegar, children’s urine, and rice wash for one week each, then sun-dry before use); 4 liang of Qi-ai mugwort (remove stems, boil down with several bowls of good vinegar until dry, pound into cakes, and sun-dry); 1 liang of superior-grade blue ink (calcined until all smoke dissipates, quenched in vinegar, ground fine, and incorporated into the formula); 1 liang of Angelica sinensis;1 liang of Chuanxiong, 1 liang of Ginseng, 1 liang of Prepared Rehmannia (mixed with wine and steamed over rice), 1 liang of White Poria, 1 liang of Wood Fragrance.

Grind the above ingredients into a powder and form into pills the size of a paulownia seed using a paste.
