Drug Formulation

3 liang of cinnabar, 1 liang 8 qian of real realgar, 1 liang 8 qian of borax, 9 qian of plum ice, 9 qian of Dangmenzi, 6 qian of fire-refined salt, 3 qian of black pepper, and 3 qian of ox bile.

Grind the ingredients into a fine powder, store tightly in a porcelain jar, and ensure no air escapes.

Instructions for Use

Administer a fraction of a liang at a time, blown into the nostrils through a reed tube. In cases of severe sudden collapse with respiratory arrest, the powder may be placed in any of the seven orifices or in the navel. During the hot summer months when entering cities, apply a small amount to the nostrils to ward off foul and noxious odors.
