Drug Formulation

Dang Gui half liang, Cao Longdan (washed with wine) half liang, Shan Zhi (roasted) half liang, Huang Lian (roasted) half liang, Chuan Xiong half liang, Da Huang (baked) half liang, Lu Hui 3 qian, Mu Xiang 1 qian (one formula includes Huang Qin half liang and Chai Hu half liang, but omits Da Huang and Mu Xiang.One version includes Glycyrrhiza and Bupleurum, but omits Angelica and Gardenia).

Grind the above ingredients into a powder, add a small amount of musk, and form into pills the size of mung beans using porridge paste.
