Drug Formulation

Daizhishi 2 liang, Purple Quartz 2 liang, Red Ocher 2 liang, Yu Yuliang 2 liang (quenched in vinegar, washed with water, shaped into ingots, left to dry until 10 fen dry, placed in a sand box and heated for 3 days, then buried in a jar underground for one night to remove fire toxicity before combining with the following herbs), Yangqishi (calcined) half liang,Musk Nut (wrapped in bread, steamed) half liang, Deer Antler (roasted with wine) half liang, Poguozhi (stir-fried with wine) half liang, Stalactite Powder half liang, Wulingzhi (ground with wine) half liang,Fennel (wine-stir-fried) half liang, Cypress Seed Kernel half liang, Angelica Root (wine-soaked, roasted) half liang, Polygala Root (core removed, wine-stir-fried) half liang, Myrrh (ground separately) half liang, Poria Cocos half liang, Aconite Root (processed) half liang,Tianxiong (roasted) half liang, black pepper half liang, agarwood half liang, cloves half liang, frankincense half liang, myrrh half liang, astragalus (honey-roasted) half liang,half liang of Chinese yam, half liang of Cistanche (roasted), half liang of cinnamon bark, half liang of Morinda root, 3 qian of dragon’s blood, 3 qian of amber, 3 qian of cinnabar, and 3 qian of musk.

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Mix with glutinous rice cooked into a paste to form pills the size of a Paulownia seed, reserving a small amount of cinnabar and musk to coat them.

Take 30 pills per dose, on an empty stomach with a decoction of ginseng or jujube; for women, take with vinegar water.
