Drug Formulation
5 large fresh lotus roots, 2 liang fresh lily bulbs, 3 liang fresh Dioscorea opposita, 2 liang Poria cocos (ground into powder), 3–7 jujubes (peeled and pitted), 2 liang fresh Asparagus cochinchinensis (core removed, finely sliced), 4 liang wheat flour, 3 he cow’s milk, 6 he honey.

Processing
Grind the lily bulbs, Chinese yam, and asparagus root into a paste until smooth; add honey and grind further until very fine. Next, add the date pulp, followed by the Poria, then the wheat flour, and mix thoroughly. If the mixture becomes too dry, add yellow or white cow’s milk to adjust the consistency until it reaches the desired thickness. Fill the lotus roots with the mixture, ensuring it fills every crevice, and steam them in a steamer until cooked.
