Drug Formulation

Ginseng 1 liang 5 qian, Prepared Rehmannia 1 liang 5 qian, Angelica sinensis root 2 liang 5 qian (washed with wine), Ophiopogon (core removed) 1 liang, Asparagus root (core removed) 1 liang, Chinese yam (roasted) 1 liang, Schisandra 5 qian, Phellodendron 8 qian.

Processing

Grind each of the above herbs into a fine powder. Add one unit of the placenta from a first-time, robust pregnancy; wash it with water, remove all impure blood from the meridians, steam it with wine, mash it thoroughly, mix it with the other herbs, and knead with refined honey to form pills the size of a paulownia seed.
