Drug Formulation

2 liang of macaque bones, 2 liang of pangolin bones, 2 liang of dog hyoid bones, 2 liang of hog’s navel, 2 liang of tiger shin bones, 1 liang of wild raccoon dog bones, 2 liang of otter bones, and 2 liang of cat hyoid bones.

Processing

Grind the ingredients into a coarse powder, mix with rice vinegar, place in a bottle, seal the opening tightly with mud, and let it dry. Heat over high flame until slightly warm, then remove once cooled. Pound and sift into a fine powder, and store tightly in a porcelain container.

Instructions for Use

To use, first cook millet porridge in vinegar. Depending on the size of the injured or fractured area, add half a qian of the medicinal powder, mix until smooth, spread it on an oiled cloth, wrap the injury, cover with cotton, and secure with a bandage.In severe cases, relief is achieved within three applications at most. For broken bones, first realign them according to established methods, then immediately apply the poultice. If pain occurs while applying the poultice, first take half a qian of the powdered medicine mixed with warm wine; as soon as the medicine enters the mouth, the pain in the affected area will cease immediately.
