Formulas Name : Magnolia Bark Decoction Pills

Chinese Name : 厚朴煎丸

Drug Formulation

Fennel (stir-fried until golden) 4 liang, Sichuan pepper (stir-fried briefly) 4 liang, Aconite root (roasted) 2 liang,Yizhi seeds 2 liang, Zipu half jin (peel removed, chopped to the size of a fingertip; combine with half jin of ginger—skin on—sliced, add 3 sheng of water, simmer over low heat until dry, then remove the ginger), dried ginger 4 liang (chopped into dice-sized pieces; combine with 2 liang of licorice chopped into half-cun-long pieces, add 5 sheng of water, boil together until baked dry, then remove the licorice).

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Boil about 1 jin of plump jujubes with fresh ginger, remove the skins, and use the flesh to form pills the size of a paulownia seed.

Instructions for Use

Take 50 pills per dose, washed down with rice water on an empty stomach.
