Drug Formulation
Changshan (preferably resembling chicken bones), Poria Sclerotium (with bark and wood removed), and Cinnamon Bark (with coarse bark removed)—each in equal parts; Licorice—half the amount.

Coarsely grind the ingredients into a powder.

Instructions for Use
Take half a liang per dose; soak it in a little more than one large bowl of wine overnight, then take it cold on an empty stomach on the morning of the expected onset. Do not consume hot food or hot soup after taking it; re-soak the dregs and take them again when symptoms are about to appear.
Note
Avoid scallions, garlic, Chinese chives, mutton, fishy foods, fermented fish noodles, raw or cold fruits, and all toxic substances; avoid wind and cold; and abstain from sexual activity.
