Drug Formulation
Oyster Shell (raw, ground) 1 qian, Silkworm Larva (dried) 1 qian, Sichuan Tortoise Shell (stir-fried with earth) 1 qian, Fangfeng 1 qian, Forsythia 1 qian,Qianghuo 1 qian, Frankincense 1 qian, Licorice 1 qian, Honeysuckle 1 qian, Coptis 1 qian, Angelica sinensis root tip 1 qian, Rhubarb 3 qian, Tianhuafen 4 liang (fresh, unsun-dried; pound into a paste with a stone mortar, add 1 bowl of water, stir well, strain to remove residue).

Benefits
For cases of brain abscess with deep-seated accumulated toxins, characterized by a firm, swollen, and wood-hard mass; dry mouth and tongue; nausea, restlessness, and thirst; six pulses that are deep, full, and forceful; and severe constipation with no bowel movements.
Instructions for Use
Use one and a half bowls of the clear Tianhuafen decoction; simmer it with the other herbs until reduced to eight-tenths of the original volume, then add one cup of wine. Take it hot on an empty stomach. After three doses, one may resume eating and drinking.
Note
Avoid fried, stir-fried, and other “triggering” foods.
