Formulas Name : Mei Juechun Pills
Chinese Name : 梅觉春丸
Drug Formulation
Cloves 1 qian, Frankincense 1 qian, Cinnabar (ground) 1 qian, Black Aconite Root 1 piece (weighing half a liang; hollow out the center to form a hollow vessel). First, grind the cloves, frankincense, and cinnabar into a fine powder, pour it into the hollowed-out aconite root vessel, mix with buckwheat flour to form a dough similar to a cake, and wrap it around the mixture. Take one raw radish, 4 cun in diameter,split it in half, hollow out the center to accommodate the aforementioned medicine, and place it inside. Secure it with a bamboo skewer and seal it with Liuyi clay to a thickness of about half a finger. Dig a pit in clean ground, about 5 inches deep. Heat it with charcoal until red-hot, then remove the charcoal and ash to ensure the pit is clean. Pour one zhan of good vinegar into the pit,let it settle, then place the medicine in the pit. Cover the four sides with one jin of charcoal embers to calcine it for one shichen. Remove the fire, seal it in a new basin, and let it cool. Grind it into a fine powder together with the following ingredients: 1 qian of imported fennel (roasted), 1 qian of Tiantai Wuyao, 1 qian of white Poria (peeled), and 1 zi of earthworm (cleaned of soil).

Processing
Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Make pills the size of mung beans using a paste of flour boiled in wine.
