Miraculous Decoction for Lung Abscess,Lung Abscess. Caused by overwork damaging qi and blood, with internal accumulated heat and external exposure to wind-cold; symptoms include chest fullness and tightness, dull pain, dry throat and mouth, occasional discharge of turbid, foul-smelling sputum, and vomiting pus resembling rice porridge—in such cases, the prognosis is fatal. The pulse is slippery and rapid, or full and large. In all patients, pressing the right flank will inevitably cause pain; simply taking this decoction will disperse the abscess before it fully forms, or cure it once it has already ruptured.
