Drug Formulation
1 mouse gallbladder (capture a large mouse and first keep it in a bamboo cage; then make a paper box to lure it inside, placing fruit inside so it will eat on its own; after some time, suddenly strike it to death with a stick, and immediately remove the gallbladder—a dried one may be used; dissolve it in water and mix it into the medicinal powder), 1 fen of dragon’s tooth,1 fen of borneol, 1 fen of musk, 1 fen of cinnabar, half a fen of frankincense, and half a fen of camphor.

Processing
Grind each of the above ingredients into an extremely fine powder. Form them into pills the size of mung beans using human milk, and wrap them in silk cotton; they must not be too large.
Benefits
Deafness.
Instructions for Use
When ready to use, insert them deep into the ear until they can no longer be tolerated. Leave them in for three days, then remove them; hearing will be restored and deafness will not recur. It is not necessary to use three pills.
