Drug Formulation

Frankincense: half liang; Myrrh: half liang; Human hair: half liang; Rhubarb: half liang;half liang of Cinnamon Bark, half liang of Angelica Root, half liang of Scrophularia Root, half liang of Dipsacus Root, half liang of Curcuma Zedoaria, half liang of Raw Rehmannia Root, half liang of Red Peony Root, half liang of White Angelica Root, half liang of Belamcanda Rhizome, half liang of Croton Seed, half liang of Alum, half liang of Scutellaria Root, half liang of Willow Twigs, 1 jin of Sesame Oil, 8 liang of Orpiment, and 1 qian of Musk.

Processing

Chop the ingredients into pieces the size of soybeans, soak them in oil overnight, then simmer the willow twigs, stirring until the mixture turns black. Strain out the residue. Return the oil to the cauldron; once slightly cooled, add the yellow丹 and simmer, stirring constantly until the mixture turns black, does not disperse when dropped into water, and does not stick to the hands. Add the sesame oil, myrrh, and musk, stir until well blended, then remove from heat.

Instructions for Use

Each time, place the ointment on oiled paper, spread it out, and apply it to the affected area according to its size. To treat wounds from beatings, apply the ointment to the center of the wound. For this ointment, roast and grind rhubarb, Phellodendron bark, and Scutellaria root into a powder; mix with egg white to form a paste, apply it to the edges of the wound, and seal with strips of rice paper. Change the ointment once a day; on the third day, fumigate and wash the wound with a decoction of scallions, Sichuan pepper, and salt.Take Wuyao Shunqi Powder internally.

Note

Avoid vinegar, wheat flour, and meat.
