Drug Formulation

5 sheng of glutinous rice flour, 5 jin of white malt, 5 jin of ground mulberry twigs (Method for collecting mulberry twigs: In February or March, when buds appear on east-facing mulberry trees, collect the tender twigs and hang them in the shade under the eaves. Cut them into one-cun lengths, mix thoroughly with Sichuan honey, and steam them. After air-drying, mix and steam again; repeat this process three times, then sun-dry until completely dry before use).

Instructions for Use

Mix the flour with cold water to form flat cakes, wrap them in cork tree leaves, and hang them under the eaves. Remove them after 7 days; if the center resembles a chrysanthemum flower, they are ready for use. First, take 5 dou of well-cooked glutinous rice, rinse it thoroughly, and steam it in a steamer until tender. Mix 5 jin of ground mulberry twigs and 2 jin 8 liang of the prepared rice malt into the steamed rice until well blended.press a well in the center, then sprinkle with good wine (do not use distilled spirits). After 7 days, a wine-like liquid will begin to seep out; let it ferment for another 7 days, then press to extract the liquid. Add 1 jin of beeswax, transfer to a jar, seal tightly, and simmer in a double boiler for the duration of three sticks of incense. Remove and drink as desired.
