Drug Formulation

20–30g mulberry fruit (30–60g if fresh), 2 liang glutinous rice (or add a small amount of rock sugar).

Benefits

Deficiency of blood in the liver and kidneys, manifested as dizziness, vertigo, decreased vision, tinnitus, lower back soreness, premature graying of hair, and intestinal dryness with constipation.

Instructions for Use

First, soak the mulberries briefly; after rinsing them, place them in a clay pot with the rice to cook into porridge. Once the porridge is cooked, add rock sugar and simmer briefly. Take twice daily on an empty stomach; one course of treatment lasts 5–7 days.

Note

Avoid using an iron pot to cook the porridge; a clay pot is preferable. Purple mulberries are best, red ones are second-best, and green ones should not be used. Those who routinely have loose stools or diarrhea should not consume this porridge.
